My Philosophy of Therapy
Working holistically, I take into account physical, mental, cultural, and spiritual factors to better assist my clients. My training reflects this. I am certified and work in the fitness industry as a fitness consultant and a lifestyle weight management coach. My training toward my doctorate in psychology and my masters of arts in theology has informed my understanding of psychological, cultural, religious, and spiritual elements, which allows me to better assist my clients.
Over the past 6 years, my work in mental health and fitness has allowed me the opportunity to work with relationship problems, phase of life issues, developmental disability, physical disability, drug and alcohol addiction and abuse, mood disorders, spiritual concerns, issues pertaining to eating and weight, sexuality, health and fitness, creativity, personal growth, and individuals just plain wanting something better. This experience with clients has truly been an honor and an education in its own right.
Therapy can be an exciting and worthwhile experience, but it can be one of the most challenging endeavors people experience, and I am honored to have the opportunity to partner with my clients on this journey.
